What services does Harding’s Valley Skips offer?
We offer a range of waste management services in Rossendale and the surrounding areas, including domestic and commercial skip hire, recycling, a weighbridge and site waste management plans. More about us.
What size skips are available?
We provide mini, midi, maxi and roll-on roll-off skips — from 2 yard up to 40 yard. See domestic skip sizes and commercial skip sizes for dimensions and capacities.
How do I book a skip?
Domestic and smaller commercial skips can be booked online in three steps: choose your size, tell us where and when, then check out. For roll-on roll-off skips, call or email our team — we’ll need your site address, the skip size and how long you need it.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Rossendale, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Waterfoot, Stacksteads, Bacup, Accrington, Blackburn, Oswaldtwistle, Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Great Harwood, Padiham, Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley. For an exact answer, check your postcode.
Can I choose a delivery time?
Yes. When you book online you pick a delivery day and a time slot. If a slot is fully booked it’s shown as full, so you can pick another.
What can I put in a skip?
Most types of waste, including household, garden and construction waste. Choose the right size for your waste — some sizes have weight restrictions. If you need help choosing, call us on 01706 227787.
What can’t I put in a skip?
We only accept general and safe waste: no fridges, TVs or computer monitors, paints, solvents, asbestos or gas cylinders.
How long can I keep the skip?
Standard hire is up to 14 days. If you’d like it collected sooner, request a collection from My account → My skips, or give us a call.
How do I request a collection or order another skip?
Log in to your account and open My skips. Each skip has a Request collection button and a Reorder this skip button, which takes you straight to booking with your size and postcode filled in.
Do I need a permit for the skip?
If the skip is going on public land such as a road, you’ll need a council permit. We can arrange this for local areas — tick the permit box when booking and the charge is added. We’re unable to arrange permits in Blackburn and Darwen.
How much does skip hire cost?
It depends on the skip size and where you are. Enter your postcode on our booking page to see your exact price, or call or email us to discuss your requirements.
What happens to the waste once it’s collected?
We’re committed to responsible waste management — at least 80% of the waste we process is recycled, with the rest disposed of responsibly.
How can I pay?
You can pay online by card when you book, or choose cash on delivery.
Do you offer same-day skip delivery?
Yes, subject to availability. Call us on 01706 227787 — we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred slot.
How do I prepare for skip delivery?
Make sure there’s enough space for the skip and that the delivery area is accessible. Remove any obstructions, and add any access notes when you book.
What happens if the skip is overloaded?
Overloaded skips can’t be transported safely. You’ll need to remove excess material to a level load, or hire an additional skip.
How do I cancel my booking?
Contact us at least 24 hours before your delivery. Cancellation fees may apply.
